OD Head

The Head of Organizational Development is responsible for managing and supporting the assessment of organizational needs, and designing, implementing, and evaluating interventions that optimize the effectiveness professional development programs of the workforce, particularly executives and potential leaders.
HR Role family: Solution architect
Salary range: $104,000 - 127,000Gross salary range estimation based on US salary benchmark data collected in 2022
Work experience: 6 - 12 yearsAverage minimum year of (relevant) work experience required for this role.

Key Responsibilities

Oversees the functioning of the Organizational Development department, including performance management and hiring of employees
Lends their expertise on workforce design, culture, behaviors, and working practices and processes to assist in building a future-proof strategy
Designs and executes OD interventions that bridge the gap between the current state of the organization and its desired state
Partner with senior leaders to develop and implement succession planning strategies that identify and develop internal talent for future leadership roles.

The Head of Organizational Development is responsible for designing and implementing strategies to promote employee engagement, retention, and development, and will work closely with senior leaders to align organizational development initiatives with our overall business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • At least 7-10 years of experience in organizational development, talent management, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of organizational development theories and principles, as well as current trends and best practices in talent management and employee engagement.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and implementing large-scale organizational development initiatives in a complex, multi-disciplinary organization.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive results.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively to a variety of audiences.
