Job Description Template: OD Specialist

The Organizational Development Specialist is responsible for identifying areas of improvement within the organization and developing and implementing strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and overall employee satisfaction. This role will require an individual who is skilled in change management, talent development, and leadership coaching. The specialist will collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to support the organization in meeting its goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior leaders to assess organizational needs and develop strategies to improve performance and productivity.
  • Develop and implement programs and initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and career growth opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, develop and implement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to improve leadership and management skills, team building, and other relevant areas.
  • Analyze and report on key performance indicators to track progress and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage the rollout of organizational initiatives and provide ongoing support to ensure effective implementation.
  • Develop and implement diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and training programs.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and best practices in organizational development, and incorporate these insights into organizational development strategies.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field. Master’s degree in Organizational Development or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in organizational development, talent development, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing organizational development strategies and initiatives.
  • Excellent project management skills, with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to analyze and interpret data.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong coaching and facilitation skills, with experience in leadership development and coaching.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles and practices.
  • Experience working in a large organization is preferred
